Three different things can be called a download
A subtitle file contains timed text. A saved-list entry identifies a production. A downloaded movie contains video and audio, often managed inside a viewing app. One does not automatically include either of the others.

Test the language before travelling
A downloaded edition may not include every available audio or subtitle track. Start it while you still have a connection and confirm that the preferred language is present. Check whether later episodes have finished downloading too.
Save space with intention
Select a quality that suits the screen and storage you have. Keep enough room for the whole trip rather than filling it with one oversized download. A poster saved in My List uses little space but is not an offline film.
